The Oxford Lane complex is a large, multi use, strata titled complex with a combination of residential townhouses, mixed use residential and commercial high-rise, a free standing commercial building, free standing carport structures, free standing storage buildings and a central poolside community entertaining area.
This is the second consecutive time Perrott Painting has painted this complex. The Owners engaged us for a full repaint project in 2010 which was successfully completed and the client was thrilled with the works. As a result, the CoO had no hesitation in asking us to tender again for these most recent project and subsequently awarded the 2023 repaint works to Perrott Painting.
Given the size of this property and the complexities that come with conducting a repaint job alongside the daily lives of residents and trading businesses, our team once again did an outstanding job. The project was successfully completed using company owned EWP’s as the main access solution together with rope access technicians who were needed for the more difficult areas adjacent to busy roadways. Using abseilers for these areas was the safest and most cost effective solution as it eliminated potential disruption to local traffic and the need for expensive traffic management.
Overall the building was in good condition and our previous job in 2010 had stood the test of time. However, the previous coating used on the walls was a standard acrylic paint and the building was starting to show signs of static cracking. For this current project, Perrott Painting recommended specialised Granosite products to bridge out the cracking and provide a lasting, flawless finish. Corrosion control was handled using Wattyl’s industrial Epinamel/Macropoxy and Poly U/Acrolon ranges of products and, once again, the Owners are very happy with the final project.
