As the main reception of the school, it was time to upgrade the facade to the administration building. The existing coatings were failing and had stopped providing protection to the underlying render.
Negotiations began way back in July 2013 when the building was assessed for painting. Pre-start meetings followed which involved the Heritage Council as all methodology, specifications and colours had to be approved.
Perrott Painting also managed the building works as various surfaces required replacing prior to painting. Each linings were replaced, brickwork repointed and mouldings replaced.
Access was achieved using 2 x mechanical cherry pickers and all work was carried out during the Christmas break to minimise the disruption to staff and students.
“The Foreman, Michael, was very helpful and always prepared to react to any queries or concerns the school may have had. The project was completed on time and looks great.”
