Perrott Painting was invited to assess The Bellevue apartment complex in July 2024 for a repaint project.
The building was evaluated implementing two main access solutions: swing stage systems for the majority of the building’s perimeter, and rope access specialists for the more complex areas—particularly the tricky corners, one overhang on the eastern elevation and the large overhang on the northern feature of the building, which sits above the roundabout at the top of Mounts Street and makes the building a local landmark.
The rope access specialists we work with have been part of our extended team for over 10 years. Their experience and shared commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes make them a seamless fit with our staff.
The building required a specialised coating sequence over a raw and aggressively porous acrylic trowel on texture finish. This coating sequence consists of one complete preparatory coat followed by two complete coats of a premium elastomeric product providing the high-level functional coating system required to achieve the task at hand.
Once the COO was ready to proceed in November 2024, planning began in earnest. Multiple prestart meetings were held to coordinate swing stage sequencing and rope access workflows, ensuring a smooth process around the building’s perimeter. A dedicated team of painters was also assigned to work from inside the large balconies, with a strong focus on communication with residents throughout.
With preparations complete, the project was put into full swing and executed by our specialist team of trade-qualified painters, alongside our trusted rope access partners. We maintained close communication with the Strata Manager and COO members throughout the process.
Upon completion, a drone was deployed to capture images, giving the proud owners a visual memento of the transformation.
The result: a very happy group of owners, grateful to our team, and one clean, bright, freshly painted landmark building standing proudly at the roundabout on top of Mounts Street.
